Energizing or sleepy?

Mostly sleepy, after a lift. Leafly places GMO Cookies on the calming side of its scale and puts sleepy among its top three effects, and AllBud, Zamnesia and Prime Cuts Nursery all describe a heavy, sedating body effect.1,4,7,8 Weedmaps describes an uplifted start, Barney’s Farm lists uplifting among the effects of its seed versions, and Leafly’s 2022 feature says seasoned users reach for it by day as well as at night.2,3,5,6 Seed versions also differ from the original cut (see genetics).

Why two batches can feel different

Potency alone varies widely: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 19.69% THC and one in ten above 31.84%.9 The name also covers different plants: the original cut travels as clones, seed companies sell their own versions with flowering times from about 61 to 80 days, and Westword notes that most cuts of GMO carry a sour funk.3,5,10,11
